Most vehicles have a few different types of filters. The most common filter are your oil filter, engine air filter and fuel filter
Oil Filter:
Your vehicle's oil filter exists to filter ot deposits and debris, thus preventing damage to internal parts of your engine. Your oil filter should be changed every time you have your engine oil changed.
Air Filter:
Your vehicle's engine air filter prevents dirt and other debris from getting inside the engine. A dirty air filter can decrease fuel efficiency and cause other engine running issues due to restricted air flow. At Quick Lane Tire and Auto we will check your engine air filter every time you are in for service.
Fuel Filter:
Most vehicles have a fuel filter. Some vehicles fuel filters are located externally fron the fuel tank, while others are in the fuel tank and part of your fuel pump assembly. These filters remove dirt and rust that gets inside your fuel tank. External fuel filters should be changed by the manufacturer's recommendation. A plugged fuel filter can cause loss of power and unwanted stress on a vehicles fuel pump. At Quick Lane Tire and Auto we will inspect your vehicles external fuel filter and replace it when needed.
Cabin Air Filter:
Cabin air filters keep pollen, dust, soot and odors out of your heating and air conditioning ventilation system. A dirty cabin filter can restrict air flow and cause potential issues with your heating and air conditioning ventilation system. At Quick Lane Tire and Auto we will check your cabin filter when you bring in your vehicle for service and replace if necessary.
Cooled Seat Filters:
A seat filter keeps dirt and debris from getting into the fan to help maintain optimal performance of your cooled seats. At Quick Lane Tire and Auto we will check your seat filter and replace them when needed. |
